This course is designed for all workers working in the shipbuilding and ship repairing industry
Entry Requirement:
The learner must have completed and passed the Shipyard Safety Instruction Course for Workers (General Trade) to be eligible to attend this course.

- Know the characteristics of flammable substances
- Understand how vapours/ gases can accumulate in confined spaces
- Understand how fires/ explosions are caused

Assessment Advice:
10 MCQ Assessment in 10 minutes and it is a closed book assessment. The passing mark for the written assessment is 60%. Failure to pass the assessment shall render a “Fail” outcome for the learner and he must then re-attempt the course and assessment.

I am writing through my experience on your awesome staff Ms Rajeswari (Customer service officer) dated 1 & 2 Aug 2022. Me & my colleague wanted to attend the SSIC urgently on the earliest date…Ms Rajeswari was able to allocate us for the 2nd Aug. She has the “GEM” (Go the extra mile) personality which she manage to assist us in the admin/payment issues till 9pm on Monday, 1st Aug. On the the date of the lesson, she still assist us with the admin issues & we manage to attend & complete the course without any issue on 2ng Aug. We have a project for the employees to work at Shipyard. However, the employees are required to attend the mandatory training on Apply Workplace Safety and Health in Shipyard-General Trade. Ms Rajeswari has been helping us with all the coordination. We are thankful to her for helping us with getting the certification card today even though the payment will only be paid tomorrow.
