Legal Requirement
WSH (Construction) Regulations 2007 Reg. 9 stipulates that any person who carries out manual work in a worksite shall have received adequate safety and health training for the purpose of familiarizing the person with the hazards associated with such work and the precautions to be observed.
For Whom
This course is designed for personnel appointed to perform formwork activities which include formwork workers/tradesmen.
Entry Requirement
Workplace Literacy & Numeracy Level 3.
Course Overview
- State the applicable legal and other requirements for formwork and working at-height
- List the roles of a worker in formwork installation, alteration and dismantling
- State the types of formwork used in the industry
- Apply basic risk assessment for formwork activities
- Identify hazards associated with formwork activities
- Observe safety and health measures for formwork activities formwork activities
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for formwork activities and Working-At-Height

Course Duration: 7 hours including 1 hour of assessment
Medium of Instruction:English, Tamil, Bengali, Mandarin, Burmese, Malay, Hindi & Thai.

Qualification or experience of facilitators:
A facilitator and assessor of this course will possess the following:
- Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health, and
- Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) qualification or Diploma in Adult Continuing Education (DACE), and
- Formwork Safety Course for Supervisors, and
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience with exposure to formwork activities

Course Attendance: 100% Attendance
Assessment Advice
1 hour of written assessment comprised of 20 MCQ in Part 1 & 20 MCQ in Part 2. The passing mark for the written assessment is 60%. Failure to pass the assessments shall render a “Fail” outcome for the learner and he must then re-attempt the course and assessments.

- Based on the successful completion of the course and assessment, a Statement of Attainment (SOA) from the Skillsfuture Singapore (SSG) and a Safety Pass from Eversafe Academy Pte. Ltd. will be awarded to the trainee.
